A new Call of Duty rumor is making the rounds claiming that Call of Duty 2021 is codenamed Call of Duty: WWII Vanguard. Call of Duty WW2 Vanguard. Call of Duty 2021 Vanguard. This name is more likely than not just a codename for the game and not the final title. The game is likely to be developed by Sledgehammer Games, who created Call of Duty Advanced Warfare and Call of Duty WWII. Sledgehammer Games have been rebuilding their studio over the last few years and have hired over 150 new employees in 2020 alone. Sledgehammer Games have also noted that they are now a multi-project studio and are credit for helping develop Modern Warfare, Warzone and Black Ops Cold War. The new title, set to release in Q4 2021, will mark Sledgehammer Games’ first new title since 2017. Their last title was Call of Duty: WWII. While Activision has not officially confirmed SHG as the developer, multiple rumors have indicated and hinted as such. Rumors suggest that the 2021 game will take place during the 1950s, expanding beyond what the 2017 game covered in its focus on the European front of the war. Please take this all with a grain of salt as nothing in this video is confirmed whatsoever, but it’s fun to discuss nonetheless. Enjoy!
