DESCRIPTION: Today I wanted to have a discussion about the cheating problem in Call of Duty. Recently there were almost 60,000 accounts that got permanently banned in Modern Warfare III and Warzone for using “unlock tools”. It was trending on Twitter for quite some time, and a lot of players begged to be unbanned because, from their perspective, they felt that they didn’t do anything wrong. There seems to be a really big disconnect amongst the COD community about what is cheating and what is not cheating, so I wanted to share my thoughts on all of this with you, offer some suggestions and solutions to this problem, and hopefully spread a message that encourages people to stop cheating in video games.
