Call of Duty 2023, or what would be Call of Duty 2023 developed by Treyarch had a MASSIVE curveball thrown into the mix the other day. It was reported first by Jason Schreier of Bloomberg that Treyarch’s next entry into the franchise in 2023 was going to be delayed by another 12 months, allowing them more time to craft their next vision with Call of Duty 2023 being delayed until 2024. Now, that shocked a lot of the gaming world, and likely for the better since the fatigue of annual releases (and half-baked ones as of lately) has absolutely been something players have experienced, especially as of late. So, to have another 12 months of development is something that was for the most part, relatively well received. However, with the first time in the franchise’s history bringing so much uncertainty, there’s plenty of unanswered questions about the future still. One such point made was that there is another Free to Play Call of Duty game coming at some point next year, that is *not* Warzone 2 and it’s being partially developed by Treyarch.
