iPhone 15 Pro Max Review | Two Months Later…

Reviewing Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max, two months after my unboxing to see if those iOS 17 updates have improved the experience. Good news: the iPhone 15 Pro Max is now usable as a smartphone! As long as you don’t travel, that is.

The heating issues I first experienced have apparently been solved, as my review handset no longer heats up when I get it to do anything. Likewise, Apple has sorted the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s dire battery life, so it can now survive a full day. Performance is good enough for gaming on anything on the App Store, although there’s still few dedicated tools for gamers.

So overall, this is now the best Apple phone as we head into 2024. That said, the iPhone 15 Pro Max offers very few upgrades vs last year’s mobile, besides the shortcut button and Type C USB port. That Dynamic Island is still ugly and intrusive, while those fresh iOS 17 features are coming to other, older Apple smartphones.
