In this video I will share with you the key differences and similarities between these great laptops, as well as comparing the prices, to ultimately help you decide which is best for you. The newest M2 Pro or is it better to save a bit of cash and get the M1 Pro instead. Comparing base model M2 Pro and M1 Pro. Only upgrade storage M2 Pro 2TB, M1 Pro 1TB. 4 Key differences: performance, battery life, longevity, refinements. Performance. M2 Pro vs M1 Pro. M2 Pro: 2+ CPU cores, 2+ GPU cores. Apple says 20% improvement. Geekbench 18%. Day to day 22%. Lauch all apps 31%. Final Cut Pro 22%. Lightroom 8%. Minecraft 31% 50fps vs 40fps. M2 Pro vs M1 Pro around 25% improvement, better than Apple’s estimates. M2 Pro battery lasts all-day 10 hrs, 1-2hrs more than M1 Pro. Longevity: M2 Pro last 5-7 years in terms of software support, M1 Pro last 4-6 years (M2 Pro 1-2 years more): Refinements M2 Pro: HDMI 2.1 and Wifi 6E – future proofing.
