Fixing a LOUD, Broken PS5 – First PS5 Disc Drive Repair! This broken PS5 was sent in by a viewer who said everything worked fine except the disc drive. When I tested it the disc drive made a lot of noise when I tried to insert a disc and wouldn’t take the disc in at all. Once I got the disc drive apart I found part of one of the gears that was broken and also damage to other components.
