This was a rough week in the PS5 landscape as SIE announced mass layoffs affecting many succesful PlayStation Studios. From Insomniac Games, to Naughty Dog, Guerrilla, and the closure of London Studio, it’s been rough to sift through. We’re also learning that the working conditions and leadership at Firesprite since they were acquired apparently hasn’t been all that great either. At least we have some semi-positive news for Helldivers 2, Rise of the Ronin, FFVII Rebirth, and the PlayStation Portal. Plus the best news of all? LBP Hub resurfaced, AND we got a new PS3 Firmware update in 2024. So ya know, there is some light where there’s darkness.
