PS4 Pro:
While the PS5 version of Armored Core 6 runs very well and mostly at 60 FPS in performance mode, the PS4 Pro version run on a PS5 appears to give you a locked frame rate of 60 FPS, much like it did for Elden Ring.
As noted by Lance McDonald (@manfightdragon) and confirmed by IGN, the PS4 Pro version of Armored Core 6 will run with a locked framerate of 60 FPS on PS5 despite Namco Bandai saying it maxes out at 30 FPS at 1800p resolution. While it takes a small resolution hit, those looking for the best performance may want to give this a shot.
Audeze:
Audeze’s gaming headphone and headset range sit on the premium high-end spectrum, with the company’s Maxwell Wireless Gaming Headset retailing for USD 299 while its flagship LCD-GX Open-Back Gaming Headset retailing for USD 899. The latter sits more in the company’s audiophile range, where non-gaming headphone products carry price tags in the many thousands of dollars range.
The LCD-GX is as audiophile as you can get with a gaming headset, with the cans featuring Audeze’s impressive 103mm Planar Magnetic drivers and an analog design that can double as headphones for mixing and editing audio. It’s an interesting acquisition for Sony, especially for the PlayStation brand.

Saints Row:
One of the games from September 2023’s PS Plus Essential offering has been leaked ahead of the official announcement, it seems. Reliable Dealabs leaker @billbil-kun has the scoop, and it looks like subscribers are getting Saints Row on PS5 and PS4. To be clear, that’s Saints Row the 2022 reboot — a game that proved to be quite divisive when it released, but it’s had some pretty big gameplay updates since then.
For what it’s worth, we enjoyed the new Saints Row as a relatively dumb sandbox title. The action’s solid, the open world is nice and busy, and it’s got some enjoyable missions. The humour doesn’t always land, and the writing’s a bit too cute at times, but there’s fun to be had here with the right expectations.
The game’s season pass just came to a close, by the way, which helps explain why the base release is being thrown onto a service like PS Plus.
