“Insomniac ‘Working Hard’ to Make Spider-Man 2 Its Best Game Ever. During a recent Insomniac Games livestream playing Marvel’s Spider-Man, Paquette teased: “Boy, am I excited about [Marvel’s] Spider-Man 2. You know, there’s obviously not much I can say, but boy, are we really working hard to try and make sure this is the best game we’ve ever made, and we can’t wait to share it with you all.” The game is slated to be releasing for PS5 later this year. With a large-scale PlayStation Showcase heavily rumoured for the end of this month, a new look at Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is likely just around the corner — perhaps also with a confirmed release date.”

“Hogwarts Legacy’s PS4 Version Makes Big Castle Change Compared to PS5. Hogwarts Legacy’s Hogwarts castle has at least one area that looks different depending on which version of the game is being played. When Hogwarts Legacy first released, it was only available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X consoles. However, the plan was always to bring Hogwarts Legacy to the previous generation of consoles as well.
After a short delay, the PS4 and Xbox One version of Hogwarts Legacy released to the masses on May 5. There was some concern that the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Hogwarts Legacy would have technical problems not found in the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions, but it seems those worries were largely unfounded. There’s been a great deal of praise for how well Hogwarts Legacy runs on PS4 and Xbox One, and while the graphics are obviously downgraded and the performance is pulled back a bit, the experience is largely the same regardless of one’s console of choice.”

“PlayStation Plus Games Catalogue Additions for May 2023 Revealed. Sony has revealed that the PlayStation Plus Games Catalog line-up for May 2023 includes Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Watch Dogs Legion, Humanity, and more.
Revealed on the PlayStation Blog, a total of 23 games will join the service on May 16, meaning they’re available at no extra charge to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members.

“Are Microsoft and Xbox going to pivot away from cloud gaming? In Microsoft’s CMA responses highlighted by TweakTown Editor Derek Strickland, the firm painted a bleak picture for its own cloud gaming business.
According to Microsoft, Xbox Cloud Gaming on mobile devices has been “unsuccessful,” using Fortnite access as an example. Fortnite has been available on Xbox Cloud Gaming for quite a while. When it launched, it was among the first and only times I’ve experienced queues to access Xbox Cloud Gaming, although I’ve not seen such server capacity issues since. Microsoft acknowledged that the quality of native mobile games has increased alongside the power of mobile devices.”
