“Sony Is About To Buy Square Enix, New Rumour Claims. According to a rumour, it is believed that Sony could be about to buy out Square Enix in what would be another huge industry acquisition. As reported by Push Square, former IGN journalist and host of the Kinda Funny podcast Greg Miller believes that a deal could be likely. That being said, Greg Miller did make the point of taking rumours with a pinch of salt. Furthermore, he also stated that these recent rumours could have been confused with the Embracer Group acquisition. “

“Long-Delayed Resident Evil Re:Verse May Actually Be On the Way. Resident Evil Re:Verse may still be on track for release in 2022, despite developer Capcom going completely silent on it following a series of delays. As shared by Gematsu on Twitter (below), the Google Stadia version of Re:Verse – the PvP game originally scheduled to arrive alongside Resident Evil: Village – has been rated by European ratings board PEGI. Though Capcom hasn’t confirmed any release window except just “this year”, a game being rated usually signifies that a relatively complete version has been presented and it therefore isn’t too far from being released.

Over the years, third-party and second-party deals have given PlayStation players exclusives and consoles exclusives like Persona 5, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and Detroit Become Human. These various partnerships have also provided the likes of Babylon’s Fall, which released earlier this year via PC, PS4, PS5 from Square Enix and PlatinumGames. Babylon’s Fall is an action RPG that was released back on March 3, 2022. Upon release, the game garnered Metacritic scores ranging from 40 to 46, depending on the platform. This not only makes it one of the biggest flops of the year, but given the context, and who is involved, it makes it one of the biggest flops of all time. “
