**Game Boost PS4 Games Automatically:**
Similar to the Xbox Series X’s HDR machine learning tech, the PS5 is capable of automatically remastering backwards compatible PS4 games without any developer input, via something that Sony is calling Game Boost.
This will advantage PS4 titles with reduced loading times, improved frame rates and resolutions, and even the ability to “take advantage of some of PS5’s new UX features”, though Sony has not clarified what it means by that last feature. Either way, Game Boost is a great excuse to replay your old favorites with a facelift, and a perfect opportunity to keep you occupied during those annual gaming summer droughts.

**Store PS5 Games you Aren’t Playing**
Downloading huge games like Deathloop, Returnal, Ratchet and Clank, Ghost of Tsushima sucks so just transfer them to a USB 3.0 drive. You won’t be able to play them off of it, but transferring them back is faster than downloading them.
You can also store your PS4 games there too.
**Use it to Turn Your TV On or Off**
You can toggle one-touch play, which will automatically turn on a connected TV when you power up a PS5 and switch it to the correct input. You can also toggle power off link, which allows the PS5 to enter rest mode if you turn off the TV connected to your console.

**Hold Your PS Button**
I finally got used to the DualSense changes from the DualShock 4, and through that process I realized that if you hold the PS Button, it’ll take you to the home screen from where you’re at, and if you hold it longer the controller will turn off. So that’s one thing it has in common with the DualShock 4.
**Change How Capture Button Works**
You can change what the Create Button does when you hold it down to take screenshots or videos:
1) Select Settings from the Home Screen
2) Go to Captures and Broadcasts, and customize the shortcuts for taking screenshots and videos, as well as how long the recent gameplay clips last (which goes up to a full hour!)
**Set Your Default Difficulty**
If you’re tired of having to set the same difficulty, graphical modes, and camera movement in every game – you can use special Game Presets to set up preferred options for every game you play:
1) Select Settings from the Home Screen
2) Select Saved Data and Game/App Settings
3) Pick your preferred game mode settings (fidelity or performance), default difficulty, and inverted or non-inverted camera controls.
**View Playtime**
You can view your hours played, percentage completed, and much more in the stats section. You can even tab over to see your friends’ stats (depending on their privacy settings):
1)Select your avatar icon on the Home Screen
2) Select Profile
3) Select Games and then you’ll see the Stats option
**Disable Auto Trophy Clips**
While it can be fun to relive the moment you nabbed an elusive trophy, you may find that the 15 second clips that are made each time you earn a trophy can start eating away at your storage.
1) Select Settings from the Home Screen
2) Select Captures and Broadcasts, and then disabling videos or screenshots under the Trophies tab – or even change the duration of the videos in question.
