“PlayStation’s Spring Sale is massive — here are 25 games worth grabbing. In celebration of the Spring Season, PlayStation has launched a massive new sale with over 1,000 games, special editions, and DLC packs up for grabs. The sale contains both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 titles, so there’s plenty to grab whether you’ve upgraded to the current generation, plan to later, or would just like to expand your PS4 backlog. The Spring Sale lasts for nearly a month, and will eventually close on April 27. This new sale offers some great deals on a wide variety of games, including new and old titles. Destiny 2’s fabulous new Witch Queen expansion from earlier this year is already a few dollars off, while last year’s Tales of Arise is 40% off. Other recent hits like Deathloop and Resident Evil Village are 50%, while older games — like the Batman: Arkham Collection — are under $10.”

“Persona 5 is leaving PS5’s PlayStation Plus Collection. The last day for PlayStation 5 owners to claim Persona 5, one of 20 games offered in the PlayStation Plus Collection with the console’s launch, is May 11, Sony told players Wednesday. The announcement was part of Sony’s confirmation of April’s PlayStation Plus free games lineup. Sony Interactive Entertainment announced Tuesday that it was expanding its PlayStation Plus subscription plans, with two new tiers: Extra and Premium. Those higher-priced tiers of PlayStation Plus will offer access to streaming and downloadable games from previous generations of PlayStation consoles, among other perks.”

“E3 2022 – Digital and Physical – Has Officially Been Canceled. After previously canceling its in-person E3 2022 event, the ESA has now informed its partners that there will be no digital event equivalent this year either – meaning E3 2022 has fully been canceled. The ESA had initially planned for an in-person E3 event this year after having no event in 2020 due to COVID-19 and a digital one in 2021. However, this was canceled in January, with the ESA at the time unable to make a public statement on whether or not there would be a digital equivalent. According to sources speaking to IGN at the time, discussions around E3 had been fraught throughout the year, with third parties normally involved finding the ESA’s ongoing silence regarding their plans frustrating.”
