“Easily the most requested feature since Returnal launched back in April, players will finally be able to quit the game without losing progress on their current run. Developer Housemarque calls the option ‘Suspend Cycle’, and it’ll be introduced with the game’s big 2.0 update, which is out today. To be clear, this isn’t the same as saving your game — you can’t continue from suspended data more than once. Housemarque explains: “By suspending the cycle, Returnal will simply create a single use suspend point, and once you resume playing the suspend point is deleted and cannot be used again. Your game will continue directly from the moment you left it, and if you want to suspend the cycle again, your progress will be captured from that new point onwards.”That’s not all for update 2.0, though. A dedicated photo mode is also being added to the game, which can be activated at any time outside of cutscenes and first-person sections. Returnal can be a very pretty PlayStation 5 exclusive, so we’re sure that people will soon be snapping some brilliant shots.”

“If you weren’t impressed with the recent GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition trailer, then perhaps this comparison will change your mind. This clip takes Rockstar’s original reveal and builds it out, showing direct comparisons with the classic games on both the PlayStation 2 and PC. You may have missed many of these tweaks, so it’s quite eye-opening seeing them examined like this. For example, we see a brief shot of a train in GTA 3. In the original game, the lighting is flat and the train tracks are jagged. In the re-releases, Rockstar has not only rounded the tracks out, but also added reflections to the metallic surfaces. It’s also incorporated better foliage across the board, and even completely rebuilt some models, adding plants and more defined geometry.”

“For the past few months, the PlayStation Plus lineup has leaked online days ahead of Sony’s official reveal. For November 2021’s free games, that has not been the case. When I wrote my prediction and rumors piece, I noted that for the first time in a while we had no leaks to go off of. That changed this morning. French website Dealabs has been responsible for many of the leaks in recent months, and the site tweeted this Wednesday morning:
The leaked titles are:
First Class Trouble (PS5/PS4)
Knockout City (PS5/{PS4)
Kingdoms Of Amalur: Re-Reckoning (PS4)
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners (PSVR)
That’s a pretty strong lineup if you ask me—and a welcome change from the past few months. The leak also leaves out two games: Sony is giving away three PlayStation VR titles in November, though Saints & Sinners is such a great VR game it would be fine all by its lonesome.”
