“Christopher Judge, the actor known to PlayStation fans as God of War’s Kratos, claims to be responsible for the delay of the upcoming sequel, God of War Ragnarok.
In a heartfelt series of tweets, the actor reveals that he suffered a period of poor health, which impacted his ability to work on the project. Judge says that, in “August 2019, I couldn’t walk. Had to have back surgery, both hips replaced, and knee surgery.” Apparently, Santa Monica Studio was very accommodating, and waited for him to return to health before carrying out more performance capture work.”

“On Thursday, SIE announced that it had bought Bluepoint Games, the Texas-based studio behind various PlayStation remakes and remasters including the PS5 launch game Demon’s Souls. The move followed the company’s recent acquisitions of Returnal developer Housemarque, PC port specialist Nixxes Software, and Firesprite, a UK-based developer established by former members of SIE Studio Liverpool. PlayStation now has 16 internal teams, and Studios boss Hulst isn’t ruling out further additions.”

“The free-to-play successor to the long-running Pro Evolution Soccer series was released on Thursday and was heavily criticised by players, to the extent that it became the lowest-rated Steam game of all time.“After the release of eFootball 2022 we have received lots of feedback and requests regarding game balance that includes pass speed and defence operation,” a statement on the official eFootball Twitter account read. “We would also like to acknlowledge that there have been reports of problems users have experienced with cut-scenes, facial expressions, movements of players and the behaviour of the ball.”

Sony has announced that starting on October 27, users can no longer use credit or debit cards, as well as payment methods such as PayPal, in order to purchase digital content or add funds to the PlayStation Store on PlayStation 3 or PS Vita systems. If users want to continue purchasing PS3 and Vita digital content, then sufficient funds need to be added to their accounts in other ways. PlayStation Store gift cards are one example. Additionally, credit or debit cards and systems like PayPal will still work on desktop, mobile, PS4, and PS5 versions of the PlayStation Store, so users can add funds through those and then subsequently use them to purchase digital content on PS3 and Vita.”

Sony has begun testing free game trials on PlayStation 5, allowing users to play a few hours of games before purchasing them – but it’s not a perfect service just yet. As spotted by Eurogamer, the trial feature appears to be available only in the United Kingdom right now, and currently includes just two games – Death Stranding: Director’s Cut and Sackboy: A Big Adventure. For those wondering how long you can play each game, that seems to be dependant upon what you choose. Death Stranding: Director’s Cut gives players up to six hours of free gameplay while Sackboy: A Big Adventure offers five. However, the actual amount of time that players will end up spending in the game is likely to be considerably lower than that. In a decision that’s likely to affect players differently depending on their internet download speeds, the trial period for each game has been set to trigger from the moment that you select “Download Trial” on your console, or “Add To Library” from the web – as opposed to when you actually start playing the game for the first time.”
