Sony has just made a server side change to PlayStation 5 that is now showing more ads and game news on the console. All your games might now display the last published ‘Game News’ on the Game Hub, instead of the key art or Activity Card that it used to, and people are NOT happy. Myself included because I actually really loved how the UI focused on your software and displayed beautiful art from it. But prioritizing Game News has made some games show outdated news, or in some cases, actual advertisements. So let’s talk about the change, and how it works. And then maybe after that we can tango. I’ve been practicing my moves. And by moves, I mean NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye dance. Because yeah, I saw the movie like everyone else.
