“A rating for the unannounced Castlevania Advance Collection has popped up again – this time in Korea. It solidifies a leak that came to light last week, when the same title similarly popped up in Australia. This time, H2 Interactive Co. Ltd submitted the game to the panel – in Australia, it was publisher and IP holder Konami itself – which has been awarded an ages 12 and up rating (thanks, VG24/7). There is no other information about the game.

“Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order PS5 version outperforms Xbox Series X port – but only just. A free next-gen upgrade for Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order launched earlier this month and there are a few differences between both console’s versions. Thanks to performance-analysing YouTube channel Digital Foundry, we can now see exactly how well the next-gen upgrade performs on both PS5 and Xbox Series X. The game’s publisher EA promised several improvements to the game following the upgrade including: high-resolution textures and assets, 4K/HDR resolution, improved 60FPS performance, and significantly faster loading times. Which – as we can see from Digital Foundry’s video – EA did deliver on, however with a few exceptions. The PS5 version of Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order can run at a “solid 60fps” however this does occasionally drop to just below during demanding cutscenes and gameplay.

“Sony acquires Returnal developer Housemarque, hints Bluepoint is next After an accidental tweet from PlayStation Japan. Sony has acquired Housemarque, the Finnish studio behind recent PS5 exclusive Returnal, the company announced today. It was announced with a tweet which suggests Sony might also be about to acquire Bluepoint Games, the studio behind the recent Demon’s Souls remaster. In a blog post announcing the acquisition, PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst said that the studio “is one with incredible vision, capable of creating memorable new games that resonate with our community.” Prior to Returnal it was best known for the Super Stardust games, which have appeared on the PS3, PS4, and PSP. News of the Housemarque acquisition arrived alongside a tweeted image that suggests Sony is about to acquire another studio. It appears that when Sony’s PlayStation Japan Twitter account tried to tweet about the Housemarque acquisition, it accidentally used a promotional image announcing an acquisition of Bluepoint Games instead. The high quality of the image suggests it’s official but premature. The original tweet and image have since been pulled, but Twitter user Nibel has verified via TweetDeck that the image came from the official PlayStation Japan account. Bluepoint Games is another studio with a long history of collaborations with Sony. As well as the recent Demon’s Souls remaster, it’s also remastered other PlayStation titles like Shadow of the Colossus, the Uncharted trilogy, and Flower.”

“PS4 and PS5 Reportedly Losing Exclusive to Xbox Next Month. PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players are about to lose another exclusive game to Xbox in the coming month. Specifically, the game that looks like it is going to be coming to Xbox platforms is that of Oddworld: Soulstorm, which just launched a couple of months back. Even though the game’s developer has yet to verify that the title will be heading to Xbox, a new leak seems to all but guarantee that it will be making the jump in the near future. The way in which Oddworld: Soulstorm has been leaked for Xbox is thanks to a new retail storefront listing for the game. According to one store’s website, Soulstorm is going to be coming to both Xbox One and Xbox Series X, which would make a whole lot of sense considering the title is also cross-gen on PlayStation.
